Synch-Along from ImagineLAN

If you have more than one computer, you’ve probably cursed at one or both of them at some time or another. Inevitably there will be something on one computer that you want or need on the other and when you try to access it, it’s not there. It’s like having two homes and you discover the shoes you want to wear is at your other home. Synch-Along solves this problem.

The software installs on a portable storage device like a USB Flash Drive or an IPod, and allows you to select which files and folders you want to synchronize. Think of taking your laptop with you and realizing the files you want or need are on your desktop.

Synch-Along lets you synch photos, documents, videos, music, etc. With the program you set up a list of what you want to keep synchronized, so you never find yourself in the situation of not having the files you want where you want them. Once you set up your preferences, the program does the rest and all you have to do is remember to take the portable drive with you.

Portable units like USB flash drives are becoming a central part in today’s computing. With people on the move a lot and also having more than one computer, being able to take your computing with you from one system to another is important. In today’s world, computers basically run the way we do things, whether we like it or not. Face it - it’s the way of the world.

Sometimes it does get frustrating and daunting. Computers are not infallible. Things do go wrong with them. As users, we just have to make things as easy as possible. Programs like Synch-Along are designed to make our lives a little easier and less stressful.
